Education

Two schoolgirls in a classroom are smiling and holding a postcard. It reads: "There is only one race - the human race."

Education

HIAS+JCORE seeks to educate the Jewish community and beyond to think about our responsibilities in a multi-ethnic society.

We also inspire the Jewish community to speak out against racial inequality and up for the rights of asylum seekers and refugees. Jewish history demonstrates what happens when others stand by and do nothing.

Education Sessions

More than 10,000 people saw our zoom talks on topics including:

  • The Nationality and Borders Act, its impact and what it means for Afghan and Ukrainian refugees.
  • The Disproportionate impact of Covid on Black and Asian Minority Communities
  • Heroes of Jewish activism against racism.
  • Black-Jewish relations one year on from the murder of George Floyd.

We can also offer bespoke education sessions on race and asylum issues.
