The Joint Refugee Action Network.

The Joint Refugee Action Network (JRAN) is a collective of grassroots and charitable organizations dedicated to supporting refugees and asylum seekers in the UK. Founded with the support of One-to-One Children’s Fund, and currently operating as a project of HIAS+JCORE, JRAN’s mission is to create space for innovative and solution focused discussion and solutions to asylum policy in the UK.

Our network seeks to share knowledge, skills, and connections while mobilizing to bring about positive change in refugee-related policy and service delivery through shared values.

To achieve this, we have identified four key goals.

  • Firstly, we aim to build and support an engaged network of organizations working with refugees and asylum seekers.
  • Secondly, we seek to provide online platforms for knowledge sharing and innovative collaboration to take place.
  • Thirdly, we champion, initiate, and share innovative solutions and delivery models through roundtable discussions, collaborative discussions and research reports drawing upon the voices of those with lived experience.
  • Finally, we share evidence and collaborate in coordinated advocacy initiatives and partnerships.

If you are interested in joining our free network, please email our Programme Director, Dan Hall. Our work depends upon the voices of the many communities doing vital work across the UK to see our nation become a welcoming and supportive place to live.

Our activities include regular forums and reports that bring together the views and voices of grassroots organizations, charities, and keynote speakers and panelists to discuss and highlight pressing issues facing today’s refugee aid work.

We publish a regular newsletter that highlights the latest news and activities from our network, as well as offering opportunities to members to showcase and promote their activities. Additionally, we engage in research and network building, seeking to create clear and innovative action points that address the gaps in the sector.
