Join our Board of Trustees
Are you concerned by the plight of refugees and racial minorities in the UK?
Are you passionate about fighting for social justice?
Do you care deeply about the Jewish community’s role in campaigning on issues relating to the rights of asylum seekers, refugees and minority groups in the UK?
Are you a strategic individual with the energy to steer JCORE into its next chapter?
For more than 40 years, the Jewish Council for Racial Equality (JCORE) has been at the forefront of campaigning on issues of racial inequality, refugees and asylum seeker rights as well as providing practical support in a variety of ways.
This is a busy and exciting time for JCORE and we are currently looking for new trustees, and particularly those with experience in:
· Charity Fundraising
· Human Resources
· The race equality landscape
· Social work and safeguarding (within the refugee, asylum and/or care leaving sector)
· Marketing and communications
· Involvement in the British Jewish community
We welcome applications from anyone, but especially encourage applications from women and people aged under 45, as these are currently under-represented.
Our board meets four times a year on a weeknight in North West London (or online). Between meetings you will be expected to have a hands-on role. Board positions are strictly unpaid.
How to apply:
Please send a CV and a covering letter (maximum one page) explaining why you are interested in joining the board as a trustee to email@example.com.
