This workshop will make the link between
modern genocide and “refugee producing” areas, update the Hampstead
community on the crisis in Darfur and the situation of their community in the UK
and why as Jews, we have an obligation to respond.
We will be joined by a Darfuri asylum
seeker who will provide you with practical ideas of how to support Darfuri
asylum seekers in the UK.
This is a part of a
series on the asylum system and the refugee experience in modern day Britain,
run jointly by JCORE and Hampstead United Synagogue.
